John’s key areas of expertise lie in design and innovation, perfected while building custom homes for discerning clients in the Lower Mainland of BC. John also spent several years overseeing housing developments in Barbados and Japan. This international background has given John a unique insight into different building styles and techniques which allows him to bring exclusive quality to his home designs.

As part of Willowood establishing itself in the Okanagan as a Kelowna home builder, this design / building company completed in 2006 a multi-million dollar show home which went on to win six prestigious Tommie Housing Awards.

In his 35 years experience in the home building industry John has developed an ability to envision a concept right down to the last detail, design it and make it a reality. This has proven to be an invaluable skill in the creation of one of a kind homes for Willowood. Early in 2010, Barbara McIntosh joined with John in Willowood handling administration, financial and accounting, allowing John to concentrate on design concepts and onsite construction details. As a team this allows them to more efficiently take care of clients.
